Poles keep painting: Works from the MOCAK collection

Accompanying the exhibition Poles keep painting: Works from the MOCAK collection, the catalogue under the same name offers a look into Polish contemporary painting extending the collaboration between the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow MOCAK and Lithuanian National Museum of Art.

 

In their texts, art critics and curators Monika Krikštopaitytė and Maria Anna Potocka contextualise Polish and Lithuanian contemporary painting reflecting on the death and resurrection of the medium as well as thematise its main directions. The bilingual publication in Lithuanian and English includes works by Małgorzata Blamowska, Tymek Borowski, Rafał Bujnowski, Edward Dwurnik, Pola Dwurnik, Paweł Książek, Kamil Kukla, Agata Kus, Marcin Maciejowski, Bartek Materka, Laura Pawela, Robert Rumas, Wilhelm Sasnal, Jadwiga Sawicka, Beata Stankiewicz, Michał Stonawski, Paweł Susid, Jakub Julian Ziółkowski, presented in the following sections: The Study of Things and Words, People, Symbolic Scenes, and The Density of Reality.
