The building allocated to the Vilnius Cathedral Chapter by the Grand Duke of Lithuania Sigismund the Old in 1516 (present-day 3 Pilies Street) is one of the oldest buildings in the street. Reconstructed and renovated numerous times, it has still kept its Renaissance and Early Baroque elements. It was the home of the Vilnius canon Andrzej Wołodkowicz, the prelate Antanas Giedraitis and the suffragan bishop Adam Korwin-Kossakowski (1756–1828), not to mention other members of the clergy.
